DANAT Organizes Webinars about Pearls and Gemstones

The Bahrain Institute for Pearls & Gemstones (DANAT), organizes a series of educational webinars about pearls and gemstones. These webinars are part of the Institute’s keenness to continue its training activities while fully adhering to the precautionary measures adopted by the Kingdom of Bahrain to tackle coronavirus “COVID- 19”. DANAT works through these webinars to support and revitalize the pearl sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to enhance the public culture of the services provided by the Institute in this field.

The training webinars will include the advantages and classification of Bahraini pearls, educating business owners about natural pearls, methods of production and testing. They will also cover topics about diamonds, gemstones, and pearls, and will explain how to read the reports, lab classifications, and advice that DANAT provides when purchasing jewellery and other gemstones.

The webinars are not only for specialists in pearls and gemstones but also for amateurs, professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and all those who are passionate about accumulating skills in the field of extraction and trade of pearls and gemstones. All pearl and gemstones traders and those who are interested in this field can attend these webinars through registering on (ZOOM) Platform.

DANAT had already initiated this series with a webinar on the history of Bahraini natural pearls and their classifications, and displayed examples of exquisite pearl jewellery, and designers and traders in the field learnt the difference between natural and cultured pearls. The webinar was presented by DANAT’s gemmologist and pearl experts.

Mrs. Noora Jamsheer, CEO of “DANAT” Institute, said  “Under current circumstances, we decided to provide useful and educational content on the Internet that can be invested by everyone in enhancing their knowledge on the most interesting topics in the field of pearls and gemstone, and DANAT is keen  to provide everything necessary to ensure the success of these webinars, including providing experts, qualified trainers, and useful training content training.”

Mrs. Jamsheer stressed that these webinars come within the framework of DANAT’s activities and work in support of the initiatives aimed at further consolidating the extraction and trade of Bahraini pearls and reviving the pearl sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to confirming the position of DANAT as the best laboratory in the world for services of testing pearls and gemstones.
